FAQ on Magicline data protection Your studio data -
in safe hands

Magicline recognizes the importance of high data protection standards. As one of the largest software service providers in the fitness industry, we are not only responsible for ensuring optimal management processes in technological terms, but also for protecting sensitive data. In order to make this possible, we work according to the strict guidelines of the European General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

Magicline client data is usually stored in Dublin/Ireland and hosted by Amazon (AWS). If our customers use our finance and dunning service (MemberCash), the data required for this is stored in Frankfurt am Main.

We have compared many different hosts and providers and paid particular attention to compliance with data protection regulations. Amazon and its Web Service (AWS) is, on the one hand, a top quality system and technological infrastructure, and, on the other hand mantains high data protection standards in Europe. This enables us to guarantee our clients fast and secure cloud access.

Amazon is certified as a provider of Amazon Web Services (AWS) according to the (ISO 27108-Standard zertifiziert. ISO 27018 deals specifically with the regulation of the processing of personal data in a cloud and contains numerous obligations for the cloud provider to ensure the best possible data protection.

In addition, AWS is also compliant with the CISPE Code of Conduct for data protection. CIPSE is an association of cloud infrastructure providers (also known as "Infrastructure as a Service") offering cloud services to European customers. The CISPE Code of Conduct ensures that cloud infrastructure providers meet the necessary data protection standards to protect their data in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulations.

No, only selected employees can view customer data. Principally, all Magicline employees are obliged to treat data confidentially in accordance with Art. 28 Para. 3 b. In addition, technical measures have been taken to ensure that only authorized employees have direct access to certain data. The confidential handling of sensitive information is very important to us internally.

Of course, Magicline gives all operators the option of configuring deletion periods via the data protection settings so that they are correctly processed for the relevant business purpose.
